Specifying a Video Door Entry System from Aiphone Corporation

Video door entry is nice. Not bad if you put in a couple video stations, but I like telelphone entry as you can answer and opent he gate from any phone in your house. "World's Best Doorbell Phone" is not bad. You can always run an indpendent camera and hook it to one of your televisions for verification.

yep I agree but some people dont handle these well and I have had mixed results

Some of the early ones did have problems with being as weatherproof as I would like, but over all I have had good luck with them. Very nice for adding a door station to a key system or other applications. In my old office I had one at the front door that went straight to an answering machine. The answering mahcine was announce only mode with instructions for delivery drivers and clients. Very handy. Had one at my old house too. It was great as I could answer the door from the back yard out by the pool and even unlock the door if it was an expected guest.
