This was a pretty big one on the 100 & 500 meeting SIA CP-01. Firmware updates..every now and then. Remote Link seems like they update every few months or so... I think there's been 3 or 4 since July. I STILL cannot get Remote Link to make backups since 1.31 or 1.30 , ever since the backups changed from .cab files to whatever they are now. Makes me nuts having to make manual backups.
I am really kinda pissed the XR200 is going away in the next 6months, I'm gonna have to stock up on them. I use them a lot for big residential homes and nothing else they have does what the 200 does; true home/away partitions.
First of all i am not anti-american...i am anti-american propaganda... what i just want you to see is that there are other country inthe world that do good too,and its not only by mking wars that you can help the world, and that not agreeing to the american way of think doent mean youre loosers or cowards...

We manly use XR500 only..
I have 2 bank going on this week, have to be ready for the 17 and the
24..that's when the ATM will be installed At first when I got the info about DMP and what I've read here about it,I said to myself..ok another damn panel to learn, well it was so damn easy, took
15 minute to learn both software and programming on my first install(never got training from DMP)
After understanding that some menu will popup after you've setup some other stuff first, all is well, and easy to figure out..

That is one thing i have to say positive about DMP. Has to be one of the easiest to keypad program for a panel with more than a few options.
Some simple panels are easier and faster to program, but only after you are familiar with them.
I'm not crazy about the way Remote Link works, but it does work. Then I am one of thoise guys who still has a DOS work station in the office with a bunch of modems hooked to it. LOL.
I am not a DMP dealer. No need to rehash why. I am a servicing dealer. Their tech support people have been real good.
P.S. Hey Dave. I have close to 200 installs in that big housing development now. (All Napco.) I still have one of the DMP panels I pulled out of the models on the shelf.

considering Canada is in N America it would be dumb to be anti American. you'd be anti yourself.

Yep, even the monster panels are easy to program as long as you grasp the concept.

I bought out a company several years ago who had a lot of DMP. DMP tried to use that as leverage to railroad me, but I finally got it all settled in the end. Took me several years, but it all washed out in the end. I found their panels to be ok, but a step or two behind feature development of some other brands most of the time in technology. I had a problem with some of their panels just locking up. No matter what you did you couldn't get it working again. I found something (forgot what now) that would fix some of them that DMP tech support never told me about when I called them. They just said, "buy a new panel from us." I still have 30 or 40 of them in service. They may have improved, but the DMP panels I have in service from that time are sensitive to battery condition. Often a panel acting erratically would resolve itself with a new battery even if the panel had not indicated any battery conditions.
They are what they are. If their proprietary distribution structure allows you to market yourself in a profitable manner, and the features are adequate to meet the needs of your clients then it's as good a brand for you as any.
. . . . . . See guys. I can be diplomatic if I try. LOL.

Everytime I see their name I think ..... They left the " U " out of their company name.
