Clearing 'Alarm Memory' on NAPCO CCI-5=12

ll works fine, with one issue: the 'Alarm Memory' LED will not clear. Per t he manual "... can only be shut off by resetting the panel.

The CCI 5 was quite a workhorse of a panel. I had a number of them last for 25/30 years ..... but eventually ..... a time comes that they have to be l aid to rest. The CC I5 was a pretty basic panel with no programming capabil ity so there's nothing that can be "adjusted" to fix your problem. Usually, with old printed circuit boards with discreet components, the electrolytic capacitors begin to deteriorate.

If you want to stay with a basic panel I think Napco still manufactures the 1000e panel which I've got dozens out and working for about 15/20 years no w. I think it can be purchased as a kit with a 1054e LED keypad. You should be able to find it on line. If you can't find the 1000e the next smallest panel would be the Gemini P800. Replacing the CCI 5 with a 1000e or P800 sh ould be a simple job. Both panels come with Quick/Easy programming guides.

Thanks. I'm putting in a Lynx L5200. Bout we still use the CCI-5 for one se curity function and I may keep using it, even with the the odd 'alarm memor y' LED lit. Buot for that, the NAPCO panel has been quite flawless. Eventua lly, I will probably migrate all the sensors over to the L5200.
