My HDTV has available Firewire inputs and my HD cable box has Firewire outputs. Would I be able to improve picture quality by using the Firewire connections instea of the component video outputs? Is there any other advantage I should consider here? FYI- my TV doesn't have an HDMI input. Thanks.

although the firewire is capable of both the audio and the video bandwidth requirements, most if not all manufacturers these days only utilize the firewire for audio only. since this interface does not include copyright protection (thanks mpaa).
