We are a metal working factory. We have a need to measure the ambient air temperature at approximately 33 locations in our facility. We would like to be able to access this information from the front office. (The

33 points we need to measure are out in the plant). Can this be done over a network or something? Any help would be appreciated!

Does it have to be wireless? Can you run a 4 wire cable or cat5 to all the sensors?

If yes then there are quite a few ways, RS485 can be daisy chained to quite a distance (depending on conditions 4000'). I'm working on a similar project and you can view the Cricket schematics at

Also for short runs
