Problems in multiplayer games

Jan 08, 2007 2 Replies

I have ADSL connection (768/192kbps), ZoneAlarm firewall and I recently installed "World Championship Poker 2". The problem is that every time I try to play a multiplayer game a message from the game appears saying "You are not connected to the network. The network cable is disconnected". I tried allowing the game to receive both "access" and "server" connections -as they are called in zonealarm- and even disabling completely the firewall, but unfortunately the same message kept appearing and I cannot use the game in multiplayer. Help anyone?...

And then you wonder that you have network problems?

Eh... uninstall ZoneAlarm?

BTW, you're twisting "turning off" and "disabling" - the only way to actually disable it to stop it from f****ng up your network is to uninstall it.

Why are you running this thing anyway? I can't see any benefit of introducing random errors to a nework.

If this is only happening when you are trying to 'host' a game, then it is probably caused by your router. Your ip is not really 198.162.1.x or something like that, but rather

87.239.239.4 - at least according to the headers in your post.
