personal firewall test site

Could someone list a couple of non-bias sites that list performance testing results of software personal firewalls?

TIA, DS

Hm... what exactly should perform with "software personal firewalls"? How fast they crash on a standard driver stress test? How fast the crash on creating random network traffic? How soon their internal buffers overflow? How long they need to recover from a simple message flood?

And: Who the f*ck cares?

LOL Sounds like someone got picked on a little too much in high school.

Check out the Shield's Up tests on grc.com. Interesting site. (Sebastian hates it).

*geez* Yes, we already know that even Steve Mustache^W Gibson has at least something written correctly. That still doesn't change anything about that:

- the rest of what he wrote is utter bullshit

- ShieldsUp is full of written bullshit

- ShieldsUp rarely produces correct results

- it's unsuitable for auditing the performance of firewalls anyway

Beside that, the claim that I'd hate that site is pretty much overstated.

Check out nmap-online.com or many of the sites listed here:

As others have mentioned, I'd only recommend looking at grc.com if you get a laugh from pratfalls and other forms of physical comedy. That sounds like the makings of a YouTube video: Steve Gibson falls from 2nd story window, chokes on MTU. q.v.

You could also give MetaSploit a try, but it's doubtful as to whether you could actually make it work.
