Hi. Yesterday samba was working fine on my Linux box. Today it is not (can't access shares from anywhere else). I think I may have done something in iptables to make things malfunction. I was messing around with it for an unrelated reason, even though I have no idea what I'm doing, because I'm so awesome, and it's the only thing I can think of that might have changed since yesterday. I'm running SuSE and it seems simple commands like "iptables stop", which I've seen elsewhere, don't work. So I don't know if the commands are different. Mostly I want samba to work. Can anyone help?

If you really have no idea what you are doing it begs the question what you are doing messing around with iptables.
The command which you have probably seen is either "service iptables stop" (which requires a certain Linux setup, and it maybe the SuSE doesn't provide this) or "/etc/init.d/iptables stop" (which is more likely to work).
However, if the system is connected directly to the Internet, disabling the firewall is a Bad Thing.
If your system is a desktop/server you might be better off using firestarter for configuring and running iptables. If it's actually a firewall then fwbuilder would be more appropriate (but running samba on a firewall would be another Bad Thing).
