Checkpoint QoS

Oct 24, 2006 1 Replies

In conversation with a Checkpoint reseller, I was told that the Check Point VPN-1 Power license includes quality of services features and monitoring. But that to _activate and use_ the QoS features, I must also have the SmartCenter Power Management Console. The management console is listed at 4 times the price of the base software (!).

Can this be correct? I have a hard time understanding what it means to say "Software A includes Feature Y" when you can't actually use feature Y unless you actually pay 4x the listed price for A.

Help me unconfuse!

You need to pay license fees for some software features yes.

Flamer.
