Wat is carrier transition.......

Hi group,

I m new to this group and just join from today only....and this is my first query.....

I m CCNA certified and working in HCL in India as a Network Monitoring Engineer. In short HCL is service provider in india who gives Lease line , ISDN , etc services to all over india.

I m responsible for giving support to customers daily problem....

I need some help.

We ve one Lease line of 64 K and is just commisioned.

But i m having so much problem in counter of carrier transition and interface resets.Even i resets then they get increased and i m not getting with which they r related. And one more thing thr r some periodic drops in line too. Thr r some CRC in line, is that issue in this scenario....

If thr is any document available on net then pls guide me....

Can anyone help me in this issue.

U can see counter value of carrier transition is 178....wat cud b a problem here....

Freqeunt drops in connection is usually to do with ure telecom provider. Report the problem to them. There are little errors , so u r line is ok at layer 1. Keep an eye on the error counters, if they increase, check cabling..

you can also use the show controller T1 and look at the output. This will help telco know what the issues are adn that your config is correct. if that is the case.
