Throughput: Limited on Pix 506

Hello all,

I don't know if this is the good place for this question. If not, please tell where to post.

I actually own a Pix 506E. I want to buy another one in case of crash of the first one. The idea is to save the config of the fisrt one and if there is a crash, I replace it with de second one where I restore config.

I saw on an online store a Pix 506 (not E). In the product description, there is copy/past of the 'show ver' command. I used it to compare to mine.

On my Pix, I can read Throughput: unlimited but on the store's one, I can read Throughput: Limited.

I can't understand what is limited and if this limitation will make not possible what I project to do (replace one by the second with config restore)

Hre is the complete show ver on my actual Pix: Result of firewall command: "show version"

Well,

OS version 6.3(4) always says "Unlimited" and OS version 6.3(5) says "Limited", but there is no difference in operation.

However there is something wrong with the listing from the non-E 506. Maximum interfaces with OS 6.3(5) should be 4, not 2 because you can define virtual interfaces.

Here's a listing from one of our non-E 506's.

I"m sorry for asking again but I am affraid to buy a Pix with a problem.

Does the wrong number of virtual interface mean I should not buy it ?

Thanks
