efficient use of real ips

Feb 02, 2006 1 Replies

i have four real ips in a subnet say (from 60.1.1.24 to 60.1.1.27) and i want to use three of them on 3 servers and the fourth on the router the subnet mask is 255.255.255.252

any idea how to this?

If they assigned you a subnet of 252 you really only have 2 addresses to work with. The way that works is like this

Network Address - 60.1.1.24 Gateway Address - 60.1.1.25 Usable Address - 60.1.1.26 Broadcast Address - 60.1.1.27
