Cisco sold a number of models of Netscout and switchprobe. As far as I can tell from Cisco's website, each one only had one lan card, e.g. fddi, serial or token ring (plus maybe 10 MB ethernet).
But at least the switchprobes typically have open slots. Can one take a card from one unit and put it into an open slot of another unit?
The unit I have does not have an obvious flash simm, so I presume the flash memory is incorporated on other cards, and maybe plugging in annother lan card will cause a memory comflict. Or maybe each unit was only programmed for the network types included, and it wouldn't no what to do if I added another LAN card.
Also, Can I add more memory simms, and is there any point to do so?
