Is there a limit on how many secondary IP addresses you can assign to an interface?

Yes, you need to fall within the IDB limits on the platform/IOS you are running.

The limit is pretty high, fairly reasonable.

Secondary addresses don't actually eat up IDBs.

I see some evidence that some people have actually successfully configured as many as 400-500 secondary addresses on an interface.
