routers dont show on tracert

Routers dont show themselves during a trace route Have a small test lab ( 2524 and 1600 routers, back to back with a DTE/DCE cable, with PC's on either side)

I see the routers respond to pings , but when I do a tracert from one PC through to the other via the routers , the PC's show , but not the routers - Any way to turn that on ?
