route-map precedence ?

May 27, 2005 1 Replies

hi,

what is the precedence (i.e. in what order are executed)

neighboor x.x.x.x route-map blah out

and

network y.y.y.y route-map alabala

does 'nework+route-map' prohbit 'neighboor+route-map' or vs. versa ?? What about adding to the mix 'neighboor filter-list' etc...

I.e. what is the sequence in which all BGP command related to the anoncing are executed/related etc...

The "network" statements are used to populate the BGP routing table from other routing mechanisms, so they get processed first. The "neighbor" statements are then used to send some or all of those entries to a peer.
