QoS packet marking and prioritizing

Apr 12, 2005 1 Replies

Hello.

As I mentioned in the subject. I'm using CBWFQ in conjuction with GTS on my internet router. I'm marking packets using IP precedence value. Is CBWFQ sets weights in the same way like WFQ? I want to ensure fine quality of service for protocols such as http, ftp, smtp and so one... and enforce worse treatment for packets of file sharing application (eMule, KaZaa,...).

I'm using NBAR protocol recognition mechanism..

Hola Krzysztof

Just remember that the default class you can configure de WFQ Part (fair-queue), for the rest of the BA you can only use FIFO as the scheduler inside the queue. And for the nbar part just play around a while wth the match protocol ?, NBAR is very usefull for application that are dificult to match with an acl (ej: Passive FTP)

Saludos, Victor
