Cisco has a power usage calculator for their switches. You plug in what you've got, it'll tell you what of supplies you need.

You should need just the free level cisco account to get in.

Since I just went around and around for a 4506 recently...

Loaded up with X4548 cards, you get a max power usage of 469.92Watts.

The tool gives you alot more information overall.

Much of the bigger supplies on the 4500 are for PoE options, not necessary for data only options.
