interface cards and network modules

What is the difference between an interface card and a network module? I am looking at 2800 and 3800 series routers, and the list counts for both types of slots. I am looking to due multilink ppp over 3-4 T1 lines.

Interface card such as WIC (wan interface card) is inserted in a Network Module. So, interface card is generally a subset of a network module.
