If I connecting to my C2960 switch with a console cable, I can see all the errors "dropped by the OS), primarily CDP errors.
How can I see the errors, then logging in with telnet?
Best Regards Martin

Note also that the logging level meay be different for console and monitor logging.
sh log
Console logging: disabled Monitor logging: level debugging, 992 messages logged, xml disabled, filtering disabled Buffer logging: level debugging, 26563 messages logged, xml disabled, filtering disabled
In this case console logging is disabled. Which it should be due to possible performance impact.
conf t logg monitor deb
to turn on the most logging.
Hi,
You could use Term mon.Or enable syslog on the switch and log the errors onto a syslog server.

You can also enable buffered logging. Also in general console logging should be disabled
config t no logging console logging buffered 10000 debug end
wri mem
show logging
