Etherchannel between 3550 EMI & 2900XL open original image

is it possible to setup etherchannel or port-channel between 3550 EMI and 2900XL? im having problems getting it to work.


2912XL

interface FastEthernet0/1 port group 1



interface FastEthernet0/2 port group 1


3550 EMI

interface FastEthernet0/1 channel-group 1



interface FastEthernet0/2 channel-group 1



Basically i want to do trunking as well as provide redundancy as 1 combine port.

i read that article before, problem is since there is another switch connected, one of the ports in the etherchannel goes into blocking state. spanning tree. let me play around with it see if i can figure it out. thanks.
