is it possible to setup etherchannel or port-channel between 3550 EMI and 2900XL? im having problems getting it to work.

interface FastEthernet0/2 port group 1
3550 EMIinterface FastEthernet0/1 channel-group 1
interface FastEthernet0/2 channel-group 1
Basically i want to do trunking as well as provide redundancy as 1 combine port.

i read that article before, problem is since there is another switch connected, one of the ports in the etherchannel goes into blocking state. spanning tree. let me play around with it see if i can figure it out. thanks.
