Cisco VPN 3000 concentrator

May 16, 2006 3 Replies

Last night our concentrator went down. It was weird. I couldn't ping the outside (public) interface nor the private interface, yet it was powered on. I ended up having to reboot the concentrator and then it worked fine. Going through the log file, i saw this entry.

EVENT/38 RPT=18 Event Manager detected flash FULL condition.

Does this mean that the concentrator was maxed out of flash memory? I did a google search on this message but didn't come up with anything.

any help will be appreciated.

thanks

Clean out the log files and config backups. And call TAC.

Clear the logs and the backups from the flash. Monitor for some days if the problem persist call tac. Otherwise they are going to tell you the same thing.

3000 series concentrators are a very stable devices.
