Cisco PIX 501

Oct 15, 2005 1 Replies

I just took over a pix 501 and have a basic understanding of pix firewalls.

My office is a small office and has 2 interfaces configured.

My issue is that we just moved to a new office with a ne service provider what information would I need to change on my PIX in order to bring my office up and running.

I made a change to the outside interface what else is needed?

You might have to change these classes of statements:

- name

- object-group

- static

- global

- http

- ip address

- route

- access-list

- ssh

- hostname

- pdm location (though usually you can just clear those)

As well, you might need to use 'ca zeroize' and then 'ca generate' and then 'ca save all' if you want to be able to use ssh access.
