Cisco Aironet 1240AG

Anyone know anything about this product? I see it referenced in the new IOS code 12.3(7) JA that was released a couple of weeks ago, but I don't see anymore info about it on Cisco's website.

TIA Barry

Hi Barry,

The Cisco Aironet 1240AG is almost EXACTLY the same as the Cisco Aironet 1230AG:

Differences between the 1240AG and the 1230AG?

# 1:

AIR-AP1232AG-A-K9

List Price: $999.00

and

AIR-AP1242AG-A-K9

List Price: $899.00

The 1240AG is priced $100.00 less than the 1230AG.

# 2

1230AG modules are removable.

The 1240AG modules are NOT removable.

So from a physical security perspective the 1240AG offers better protection from "theft."
