Cisco 1200 AP upgrade from b to g

We have Cisco 1200 APs running b radios and would like to use the upgrade kit to change them over to g radios. The process seems simple...Almost too simple.

After the upgrade is everything the same except the increase in speed ?

Does anything else change (i.e., settings, coverage, power) ?

Thanks,

Verify the Dot11Radio0 speed settings and power level setting and you may want adjust them.

Coverage for the very same data rates doesn't significantly change, but don't expect highest (54MBit/s) all where you've had highest (11MBit/s) before. If you are in the US your highest 11b tx-power is 100mW but 11g tx-power is 30mW.

So you can expect actual data-rates higher/equal the old 11b radios. WLAN sitesurvey is always coverage against throughput against interference against cabling costs against redundancy...
