Cat 6009 vs 6509

Hi.



I've found several postings about this, but they don't answer my specific question...



I have a 6009 switch at a remote site. I've just bought 2 new supervisor2 msfc2 modules for it - will they work? (I thought the switch was a 6509, but it's not!) I seem to think they will, they just won't run with the same performance as if they were in a 6509...



Is the key difference between the 6009 and the 6509, just the backplane? Inside the chassis, the circuit board on the left of a



6009 has no connector other than the power, however the 6509 has another connector aswell as the power. Are these connectors (on the 6509) the crossbar/sfm? These are key words I've picked up, but I'm not sure of their purpose...
