I use Cisco 7500 and Cisco Catalyst 6000 as BGP routers. Ofcourse there is no problem to read interfaces bps and pps load but I would like to get additional info about BGP peer traffic volume. Is there any MIB object which I could use to do so?

A reasonably reliable and easy way to count traffic per peer is to use MAC accounting. This should work fine on the 7500, but I don't think it's implemented on any sort of Catalyst 6000 (except maybe on SIP or ES20 cards on the Catalyst 6500/Cisco 7600).

i havent looked at which boxes implement this, but Netflow v9 supports MAC addresses in the template (Cisco Cat 6500 can do Netflow v9, but there are a lot of new options to check).
Also - if this is BGP - wont the packets will have the IP address of the far end point?
And if the various BGP security options are turned on, it would be difficult for a different device to spoof that TCP connection much past the initial handshake....
