I want to run my 350 AP in repeater mode but it doesn't work as I suppose it should. Is it possible at all to run that AP in an non-cisco-wireless-network as repeater for that non-cisco-net?

Nope, repeater mode in the AP350 is only supported with Cisco Aironet APs.
