6500 cat os

Team, I have a 6500 catos...with four interfaces connected to a 45xx...we now got two replacement 6500ios and we want to split two connections to each new 6500 from the old 6500catos to a port-channel group. My question is the following:

After I create my two portchannels on the new 6500ios I should have not problem unplugging the cables from the old 45xx and connecting them to the two new core 6500...looking at the configuration and reading some documentation I believe that I do not have to do anything on the old

6500catos switch....Please correct me if I am wrong...

Thanks,

J

You would need to reconfigure the port group's on the 4500 for the 2 cables you pull. Each channel needs to use different groups. You should not have any downtime pulling the 2 from the current 6500 IF your config is correct.
