MOst important parts of boot up?

Hi there - can anyone tell me the most salient point s to remember on the boot reg pls? I have retained that 0xnnn0 is Rom monitor mode ,



0xnnn1 is to boot from flash and 0xnnn2 is to search in Nvram- can anyone tell me what else is vital to remember pls? There seems to be so many different combinations. many thanks.

I would also try to remember that 0x2102 is the default config register setting for 2600 series routers searching flash for the ios and then nvram for the startup-config. And that 0x2142 is used to ignore nvram (not loading the startup-config). This is used in the password recovery process.

Yup, deffo worth remembering this, it's almost guaranteed to come up in the exam imo.
