3745 boot problems

I'm having problems booting a 3745 from the internal flash card. The route r came from ebay with a 32 Meg internal CF card and booted without any prob lems. I installed a new Cisco 64 Meg card (part number 16-2647-02) and ins talled a new version of IOS. The system won't boot from the internal flash card now. I've tried using both erase and format before coping the image to the CF card. I get different error messages at boot time but the same r esult, it won't boot up on it's own. If I use the ROMMON boot command it b oots and runs just fine from both the internal and slot0 CF cards. I've tr ied a couple of different IOS versions and the end result is the same.

And it works just fine after the manual boot.

Is there something I need to do before or after the format or erase command on the 3745? I got two of the 64 Meg CF cards, the other I put in a 2691 and it works just fine.

Thanks Robert
