I understood that EIGRP had a hop count of 224 and IGRP was 255?
or has this changed?
TIA

Re: Hop count of EIGRP? and IGRP?
IGRP doesn't use hop count as a metric, nor does EIGRP.

For IGRP see :-
http://www.ciscopress.com/articles/article.asp?p=102174&seqNum=5&rl=1

For EIGRP see :-

Alternatively http://www.google.com often helps.

thanks for that-I know RIP uses Hop count-it was a question on a quiz
I was doing-

Re: Hop count of EIGRP? and IGRP?
Neither EIGRP or IGRP use hop count in their metric calculations, but
they do have a maximum number of hops from one side of the network to
the other.

These are the figures that you have of 224 for EIGRP and 255 for IGRP.
