Wireless router or not

I have an asdl connection into an asdl modem which via usb connects pc1 to the internet, pc1 also has a wirless network card. I have another 5 pc'c which all have wireless network cards. If I share the internet connection on pc1 to the wireless nic will all the other pcs get internet, and will they all be able to see each other. Below is the ip setup

INTERNET V PC1 USB NIC DHCP assigned V SHARING V PC1 WS NIC 10.0.0.1

PC2 WS NIC 10.0.0.2

PC3 WS NIC 10.0.0.3

PC4 WS NIC 10.0.0.4

PC5 WS NIC 10.0.0.5

PC6 WS NIC 10.0.0.6

If not I have a wireless router with 4 wired ports, and PC1 has a wired nic, so I could do it that way ??, I cannot plug the asdl into the wireless router.

You will need to set up the Wireless Network as ad-hoc, all NIC's broadcasting on the same channel with compatible protocol a,b or g (a's can't see b's or g's, nor vice versa), set PC1 to share the internet. and set the others to access the internet via another computer (PC1).

You can also set up WEP over ad-hoc wireless. you may want to set CTS (Clear To Send) to always on or auto, on all cards, otherwise 2 or more may try to transmit at the same time.
