My friend's wireless internet connection, which I installed for him last Saturday (I'm NOT a network guy, just followed the instrustions), and which worked fine until today, is not working now. In the Event Viewer, he's getting 2 errors, DHCP error 1005, and TCPIP error 4199. He's on wireless router which is connected to a cable modem. Does anyone know what the problem might be? Better yet, how to fix it? TIA

Google winsockxpfix.exe. This will fix a corrupted TCP/IP stack. The computer likely needs a working anti-virus and malware app; pop-up blocking wouldn't hurt either. Keep him off the p*rn sites.
