Thought I would drop a note to let you all know that I managed to get my dad's tivo to use my router, approx. 45' apart with two exterior walls and a tree and fence between.
My router is a di-524 His wireless on the tivo was a netgear wtg 111 (I think) with a 10' usb cable.
I was able to get his tivo to see my ssid no problem. But over and over again I couldn't get it to communicate with my dhcp server.
Yesterday, out of frustration, I finally just left it all plugged in and restarted the tivo. BINGO. He was on my net. Never would have figured the windows fix for a tivo (linux box). But that did it.
