I own a belkin 54G router but cannot conect to the Internet. My laptop says it can pick up a signal from the router and the world symbol is lit.But any time I try to go on line it says the page cannot be displayed. Can anyone help?

The computer is not getting a IP from the router most likely. If you enter IPconfig /all at the DOS prompt and the IP starts with 169, then the computer is timing out and not getting an IP from the router that's going to all it to access the Internet.
This is usually due to some kind of mis-configuration between the wireless card and the router.
I suggest you call Belkin's Tech Support and let them help you.

Can you connect to the routers admin page?
If this is a new set up.... do you still have a proxy server configured from a previous ISP?
I will get the chance to check these things out in a couple of days when I get home. Thanks for the advice.
