I don't know a dbm from a PBX, but my SMC EliteConnect PC Card adapter and my Hawking "802.11g Hi-Gain Wireless LAN USB Adapter" are both 200 mw devices that allow me to connect to networks that my other adapters can't even see. I am currently connected with a network that is over a mile away with the Hawking adapter.
