How to improve the speed of my printer

Jun 05, 2007 1 Replies

Hi,

I recently bought a Canon MP600R wireless printer and connected it to my wireless network. Printing wirelessly does work, but scanning a page at 300 dpi in color takes a couple of minutes. I noticed a slow transmission speed between the printer and the wireless network: it's about 40 kb/s (and many Megabytes are transferred during scanning). Any idea how to improve the transmission speed? BTW: the printer is currently located in a cupboard, putting it outside the cupboard improves the speed, but that's not my intention, I want it to stay in the cupboard if possible.

Thanks a lot.

Found the solution myself. I bought a bigger antenna resulting in a stronger signal. Now the transmission is 10 times higher!
