High gain antenna for wireless router

Apr 15, 2005 1 Replies

I have Netgear DG834G wireless router. I can connect with my laptop to the network wirelessly only when I am in the same room and loose connection the minute I take my laptop out of the room. I will be grateful for any advice on how I can extend the coverage range of my wireless router. I saw 'high gain' antennas advertised on Ebay that would directly replace the antenna on my router. Would this help??

Often, a simple reflector is enough... and it's free.

EZ-10 takes five minutes to make. EZ-12 would give a little better gain and looks better. "The original" requires minor mechanical ability.
