When I used my SMC2532W-B PC Card adapter on my last laptop, I used Ethereal to capture packets. When I use the Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG adapter built in to my current laptop, Ethereal captures no packets , not even my own, unless I tell it NOT to capture packets in promiscuous mode. When I tell it not to use promiscuous mode, I capture only my own.
OS: XP Home in both cases.
Why am I not capturing packets?
