d-link g630 wont connect under win2K

I was running a d-link 630 with not problem under win98SE on a toshiba satellite 4200. When I upgraded to win2k, windows now tells me that the "local area network is unplugged". I can't enter the config util because the darn thing wont even recognize the connection to the card. I have rev A of the card, with the latest drivers.

Any help will be most appreciated.

You can install and config the card with Device Manager. Have you tried that?

yes I have. I for some reason, it seams like the bridge that connects the wireless device to the lan has been severed. I tried using a bunch of utils that toshiba prodives, but they only work if there is a network connection.
