There were other studies in the past, namely in Europe, that fiber or copper end-user fixed connections are less energy problematic than their wireless equivalent -- which is normal, the power loss are not at all comparable.
Replacing the extension of the fiber or copper network by 5G is not a good idea. However, obviously, 5G offers quite different features too.
Now, they also cover health issues, which so far are not science-based.
