Need Installation Manual for ADT SAFEWATCH PRO 3000EN

It appears ADI wishes to keep installation information aware from perfectly capable technicians, unless they are in the "alarm business". I need an installation manual, preferably pdf downloads for a ADT SAFEWATCH PRO 3000EN.

ADI claims they have no install info. This is ridiculous of course. I'm sure I can add a simple alarm system. At this time I wish to add two more keypads to my existing system, plus more motions and glass sensors. Who can help??

Donno, professor. If you can't find a manual online nowadays, then you probably shouldn't be fat fingering the alarm system. js

If the system is a proprietary ADT model, the manuals are not available at ADI. If it's a standard Honeywell product you can download all manuals and other documentation from their website. It's password protected but the user name and password are common knowledge. They haven't changed it in nearly 8 years.

The OP is welcome to contact me directly if he needs assistance now that the rest of the regulars have had their fun ridiculing him instead of offering any help.

ADI doesn't provide just manuals, even for pros. If you're under contract with ADT you shouldn't be messing with the alarm at all.

This is funny:

I have the 3000 system too. I bought a keypad on eBay. I called ADT too see if they would help me program the new keypad. They said "call eBay for tech support". I set the address to 18. 16 is the first keypad and 17 is the wireless. after I hit the * key the screen goes blank and I can't get any further. Is there something I am doing wrong? Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks!

Hmmmm..... One of my guys needed a Vista 20 manual the other day (for a takeover). He was at the ADI counter picking up a power supply and asked if they had any manuals "laying around". The guy behind the counter reached down and pulled out a stack of them. There were at least four Vista 20 manuals in the "stack". Kudos to Vancouver Branch.

Have you seen their new logo? Nice!!

You have to program the keypad into the system as well.

Well sometimes they may have one laying around. No haven't seen their new logo.

Have you seen those new EZ RJ45 plugs...slick. I just ordered me the tool and bag of ends.

??EZ RJ45 plugs?? From ADI?? Got a part number? I am getting too blind for the regular stuff, if it's "EZ"er, I'd like to see it.

They're slick, the holes for the cat 5 go all the way through the RJ45 and come out the other end so you can pull it up tight, verify you have the right colors and the crimper snips the tails off. Slick, easy and fast.

ADI-DIST numbers and prices.

Plugs are a tad pricey but if you can trim out in half the time it's well worth it.

Especially if you're eyes are getting as tired as mine...shit today I was melting in a closet (no air in the house yet) trying to punch down 20 phone lines. I was dripping so much sweat I couldn't wear my glasses...I looked like a drowned cat with my headlight falling off my forehead. Takes me a day to recover from these jobs now. Musta drank 3 big gatorades too.

I'm looking for an installation manual, a website or other information for the following alarm system:

Safewatch Pro 3000EN, from Tyco / ADT

I'm looking for exact information (preferably in printed form) on installing a second, or even a third keyboard, as well as additional door, window, glass breakage, and motion sensors. Please be considerate and only post if you are able to add constructive information.

This appears to be a disappointingly cheap system. At this point I am stuck with it. I will not pay $35 to have the door and window sensors I already ran in new construction simply connected to the circuit board.
