HAYES 1200 EXTERNAL DIP SWITCH SET UP

I' ve got Hayes Smartmodem 1200 external. I want to set up dip switches for compass. At compass manual discribes settings for 10 dipswitches but mine modem has only 8 dipswitches behind from panel. Any idea?

Thanks in advance! Spyros

What is the model? it should be 07000038, if not it's doubtful it will work

I use a Cardinal for Napco, and a USR Sportster for Caddx.

Strange I've never changed the dip switches on mine depending on the brand

10 Dip modems definitely work better than 8. I have a couple of them stashed .
