I usually don't assign the CSID until I Compass the panel; I do it remotely...maybe you're right maybe the older panel needs to have it entered manually first??? Dunno. I'm gonna swing by there this week and give it a shot.

Thats what you have to do on the old stuff and still do on the larger panels, on that 4020XM there is no *97 function since the CSID is a standard program location unlike other Honeywell panels
True but its easier just to 15 15 15 it then use first communication yes.

Ah,...yes I see...but I was entering 15s untill the cows came home and never got that last confirmation beep (at *36) - I was entering #15 but now looking at the sheet, maybe it shoulda been just 15 15 15 15 15 15 15 15 ?? sheesh...is that what I did wrong?
You should just have to do 15 8 times, some of those old panels were like that as far as the confirmation beep
