Digiplex DGP-NE96 and 306USB Direct Connect Interface - Long Run Cable to PC

A feature of the above is :- Enables main board to communicate onsite with a PC at 60m (200ft).



Connect from main board's serial port connector to PC's serial port (DB-9) or USB port.



Could someone please advise me as to what type of cable would be best to run 60m and if the connection should be serial or USB.

AT $100+ he'd be better off using the serial port which doesn't require any additional hardware.
