USA Daylight Saving Time Change Reminder

Now, the U.S. begins Daylight Saving Time at 2:00 a.m. on the second Sunday in March and reverts to Standard Time at 2:00 a.m. on the first Sunday in November. DST is not observed in Hawaii or Arizona, with the exception of the Navajo Nation, which does observe DST, even in Arizona.

The PBX daylight savings time adjustment can be programmed to take place automatically. You can set the date to change to daylight savings, and to return to standard time. The following commands are accepted by this program for this capability.

Using LD 2

FWTM = Set the date and time for the clock to move forward. BWTM = Set the date and time for the clock to move backward. SDST = Enable or disable the automatic change. TDST = Query the change information.

To implement these commands and turn on Daylight Saving Time Adjustment for the USA, use the following:

.FWTM 3 2 1 2

.BWTM 11 1 1 2

.SDST ON, (OFF) ON enables the automatic change capability OFF disables the automatic change capability

.TDST The output reflects the input format to indicate the change information.

If you just want to change the time and be done with it, here are the instructions:

Beyond just the DST changes, can the PBX be programmed to set its clock automatically by querying an NTP/SNTP server over the ELAN or TLAN?

Thanks.
