Mar 06, 2009 1 Replies

Most of the U.S. begins Daylight Saving Time at 2:00 a.m. on the second Sunday in March (8th, 2009) and reverts to Standard Time at

2:00 a.m. on the first Sunday in November (1st, 2009).

The Nortel Meridian/CS1000 PBX can be programmed change the time automatically. You need to know this before you manually make any time changes.

Using LD 2

FWTM = Set the date and time for the clock to move forward. BWTM = Set the date and time for the clock to move backward. SDST = Enable or disable the automatic change. TDST = Query the change information.

To use these commands to turn on Daylight Saving Time Adjustment for the USA, do the following:

LD 2

.FWTM 3 2 1 2

.BWTM 11 1 1 2

.SDST ON

.TDST

Gene, Thanks for the reminder. I'm sure we'll get a lot of calls from our customers on Monday asking how to change the time in their old Norstar systems. Many can be changed using F**TIME, 23646, then follow the prompts to adjust the time and date.

Regards, Brian Cox
