This is what Nortel calls multinetting. They typically only support multinetting on the BayRS router product line and do not support it on the ERS product line.

They support multinettin on latest ERS 8600 switch, up to 16 addresses per port, VLAN or MAC. Why they don't support multinetting on other ERS switches?
