Your responsibilities will center around Firewall Management and Rule Set Cleanup.
You will perform daily firewall maintenance tasks, perform detailed rule set analysis, assist in network redesign and deployment of associated firewalls and rules.
Skills required are:
Expert in the following technologies:
Cisco and Nortel Switching and routing Network Security Technologies
Expert-level skills in the following firewall technologies:
Checkpoint R55 and NGX Nortel Alteon Switched Firewalls
Advanced TCP/IP Traffic analysis skills Expert level understanding of defense-in-depth Expert level understanding of common threat vectors and associated defenses
Ability to analyze business and regulatory requirements and develop required security controls to meet those requirements Ability to manage multiple high-profile projects simultaneously Excellent negotiation skills as well as some experience in Project Management duties.
Minimum education and Experience needed:
4 year college degree in Computer related field. (or 4 years additional experience in lieu of degree 10 years experience in an information security position in a large IT hosting or data center environment (30,000+ desktops) 3 yrs experience managing and implementing Checkpoint Firewalls with specific experience on high-availability Alteon Switched Firewall Configs. Previous experience with Juniper and / or Cisco firewalls a plus.Must hold Checkpoint Certified Security Engineer Certification
